Stoneware - thrown and decorated with underglazes first - fired then glazed & fired in reduction. I learned that black underglaze & black glaze react chemically b/c of the iron (I think Iron)., and the combination caused the textured effect at bottom. Although I did not plan it I love it and will incorporate that texture into other work. (approx 8 in. tall)
